In this role, you will perform both welding and steel fixing tasks on various construction and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with experienced supervisors and engineers, ensuring that all metal structures are fabricated, assembled, and installed to exact specifications and safety standards. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding on structural steel components according to project drawings and specifications.
- Cut, bend, and assemble steel reinforcement bars (rebar) for concrete structures, ensuring correct positioning and spacing.
- Interpret engineering blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine job requirements.
- Inspect welded joints and steel fixings for quality, strength, and compliance with safety standards; rework as necessary.
- Operate hand and power tools safely, including grinders, cutters, and welding equipment, maintaining them in good condition.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain a clean, organised worksite.
- Adhere strictly to workplace safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and hazard identification.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and storage of materials and equipment on site.
Kualifikasi
- Proven experience as a Welder and/or Steel Fixer in a construction or engineering environment (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, CSWIP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurement tools.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, steel reinforcement placement, and safety protocols.
- Physically fit and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
- Possess own transport and willingness to work in Bintulu and surrounding project sites.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Positive attitude, punctual, and committed to producing high-quality work.
