Texas Instruments (TI) is seeking a highly skilled 132kV Resident Engineer to join our Facilities team in Melaka. As a global leader in analog and embedded processing, TI’s operations rely on robust, uninterrupted power infrastructure. In this role, you will be the primary technical authority for our 132kV high-voltage substation and distribution systems, ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
You will play a critical role in managing complex electrical projects, overseeing maintenance schedules, and performing diagnostics on critical power systems. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of 132kV high-voltage substation equipment, including transformers, switchgears, and protection relays.
- Lead technical troubleshooting for electrical failures to minimize downtime and ensure continuous power delivery to manufacturing lines.
- Manage and coordinate with contractors during site installations, preventive maintenance, and large-scale infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure full compliance with local utility regulations (ST/TNB) and international safety standards for high-voltage operations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and performance analysis of electrical infrastructure, implementing improvements to boost system reliability.
- Supervise testing and commissioning activities for new or modified electrical assets within the facility.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including single-line diagrams, SOPs, and safety compliance records.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in high-voltage electrical facility management.
- Must possess valid Electrical Engineer certification (Competent Engineer) recognized by the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
- Proven track record in managing 132kV transmission and distribution systems in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- In-depth knowledge of protection relay settings, SCADA systems, and high-voltage safety protocols.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills, capable of coordinating between internal departments and external service providers.
