Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the operation and maintenance of all shipboard machinery and systems
- Monitor and maintain propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and safety equipment
- Supervise and train engine room personnel, assigning tasks and ensuring work is completed efficiently
- Prepare and maintain engineering logs, reports, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all international maritime regulations and company policies
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth vessel operations
- Participate in emergency drills and response procedures
- Monitor fuel consumption and implement efficiency measures
Kualifikasi
- Certificate of Competency as 2nd Engineer (STCW compliant)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as 2nd Engineer or similar position on oil/oilchem tankers
- Familiarity with ISM Code and ISPS requirements
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems and troubleshooting
- Valid medical fitness certificate and all required seafarer documents
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to long periods at sea
- Problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure
