We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced 3rd Engineer to join our crew for a Pipe Laying Support Vessel. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated marine engineer who wants to advance their career in the offshore oil and gas sector while working with state-of-the-art vessel technology.
As the 3rd Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the engineering department, supporting the Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer in all aspects of vessel machinery operation, maintenance, and safety. You will be responsible for assisting with the operation and maintenance of main propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, deck equipment, and pipe laying systems. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of all engineering systems during complex offshore pipe laying projects.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in marine engineering with hands-on experience in engine room operations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems. You should possess excellent knowledge of classification society rules, SOLAS regulations, and international maritime safety standards.

Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer in the operation and maintenance of main propulsion and auxiliary machinery systems
- Monitor engine room equipment including diesel engines, generators, pumps, compressors, and piping systems
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
- Support pipe laying operations by maintaining deck machinery, tensioners, and related equipment
- Ensure compliance with MARPOL, SOLAS, and other international maritime regulations
- Maintain accurate engineering logs, records, and documentation
- Participate in emergency drills and contribute to a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other deck and engineering crew members to ensure smooth vessel operations
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Valid STCW 3rd Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency (CoC) or higher
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as 3rd Engineer or in a similar rank on offshore support vessels
- Experience with pipe laying vessels, anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, or offshore construction vessels is preferred
- Proficient in operating and maintaining marine diesel engines, generators, and auxiliary systems
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Valid medical certificate (Seafarers Medical) and positive sea service record
