Scanmar Maritime Services, Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled and safety-oriented 3rd Mate to join our elite fleet of Oil/Chemical Tanker vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Chief Officer in deck operations, ensuring strict adherence to international maritime regulations, and maintaining safety management systems. We are looking for seafarers who possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of tanker safety protocols, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Chief Officer in deck maintenance and cargo operations, specifically for Oil/Chemical Tankers.
- Maintain and update nautical charts, publications, and navigation equipment logs.
- Ensure full compliance with MARPOL, SOLAS, and vessel-specific Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Perform navigational watchkeeping duties at sea and cargo watch in port, ensuring safety at all times.
- Supervise deck crew during mooring, anchoring, and maintenance operations.
- Maintain safety and firefighting equipment, ensuring all gear is inspected and in good working condition.
- Conduct regular training and drills to ensure the crew is prepared for emergency scenarios.
Kualifikasi
- Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) as 3rd Mate (OIC Navigational Watch).
- Proven experience working on Oil/Chemical Tankers.
- Complete set of valid STCW training certificates.
- Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate and Seaman's Book.
- Thorough knowledge of international maritime laws and tanker safety regulations.
- Strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent command of the English language for professional communication.
