Scanmar Maritime Services is seeking a qualified 3rd Mate to join our team on a reefer vessel. As a 3rd Mate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel while maintaining the integrity of the cargo. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the safe navigation and operation of the vessel, cargo monitoring, and compliance with international maritime regulations. Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Master and Chief Officer in the safe navigation and operation of the vessel
- Monitor cargo conditions and refrigeration systems on the reefer vessel
- Perform watch-keeping duties and ensure compliance with safety procedures
- Maintain navigational charts and publications, updating them as necessary
- Assist in the planning and execution of voyage plans
- Participate in safety drills and emergency response procedures
- Monitor and maintain communication systems on board
- Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation
Kualifikasi
- Certificate of Competency as 3rd Mate or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience on reefer vessels is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and procedures
- Excellent navigational and watch-keeping skills
- Good understanding of cargo operations and refrigeration systems
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a challenging environment
- Valid medical certificate and seafarer's documentation
