Scanmar Maritime Services is seeking a skilled 4th Engineer to join our specialized reefer vessel operations. As a critical member of our engine department, you'll ensure the integrity of temperature-controlled cargo while maintaining advanced refrigeration systems across our diverse fleet. Our vessels include bulk carriers, container ships, tankers, and specialized reefer vessels operating globally. Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor and maintain refrigeration systems for temperature-controlled cargo holds
- Operate and troubleshoot auxiliary machinery including compressors, condensers, and evaporators
- Conduct routine inspections of engine room equipment and refrigeration units
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules for refrigeration and propulsion systems
- Ensure compliance with MARPOL and SOLAS regulations for refrigerated cargo
- Document machinery operations and maintenance activities in technical logs
- Collaborate with deck officers for cargo loading/unloading operations
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field
- Valid 4th Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC)
- Minimum 2 years experience in refrigerated cargo vessels
- Proficiency in Carrier, Daikin, or Thermo King refrigeration systems
- Familiarity with IMO Code for the Transport of Perishable Foodstuffs
- Strong problem-solving skills for mechanical failures at sea
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical fitness for engine room operations
