Scanmar Maritime Services is a premier crewing agency dedicated to supplying high-caliber maritime professionals to the global shipping industry. We are currently seeking a dedicated 4th Engineer to join our team for operations on our specialized reefer vessels. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the vessel's propulsion and refrigeration systems, ensuring the safe transport of temperature-sensitive perishable goods across international waters. We manage a diverse fleet ranging from bulk carriers and tankers to container and ro-ro vessels, offering a challenging and rewarding environment for experienced seafarers. Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the daily operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary engines.
- Monitor and control the vessel's refrigeration systems to ensure optimal temperatures for perishable cargo.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery, safety equipment, and refrigeration units.
- Maintain accurate engine room logs and records in compliance with international maritime regulations.
- Participate in emergency drills and safety rounds, including fire and abandon ship procedures.
- Perform minor repairs and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems as required.
- Ensure strict adherence to environmental and pollution prevention (PSPCB) regulations.
Kualifikasi
- Valid 4th Engineer CoC (Certificate of Competency) for the rank.
- STCW Basic Safety Training (BST) certificates.
- Previous experience on reefer vessels is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
- Good physical health and sea-worthiness as per maritime medical standards.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow orders from the Chief Engineer.
