Scanmar Maritime Services is currently seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Able Seaman (AB) to join our elite fleet of offshore tug boats. We are a POEA-licensed maritime agency (POEA-041-SB-050217-R-MLC-TP) committed to excellence, safety, and professional development. As an Able Seaman, you will be an integral part of the deck crew, responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the vessel. You will work in a fast-paced, professional environment where strict adherence to maritime regulations and safety protocols is paramount. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform deck maintenance, including chipping, painting, and cleaning of equipment to prevent corrosion and ensure vessel longevity.
- Maintain a vigilant navigational watch as part of the bridge team, ensuring the safety of the vessel and crew.
- Assist in mooring, unmooring, and towing operations with precision and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Operate and maintain deck machinery, including winches, cranes, and capstans.
- Ensure that all safety and firefighting equipment is readily available and in proper working condition.
- Assist with the safe handling, storage, and securing of cargo and ship stores.
- Participate in emergency drills and respond promptly to onboard emergencies as directed.
Kualifikasi
- Valid Seafarer's Identification and Record Book (SIRB).
- Complete set of STCW 2010 certifications required for Able Seaman.
- Proven experience working on tug boats or offshore support vessels.
- Strong understanding of international maritime safety regulations and MLC compliance.
- Ability to work in a multicultural, worldwide trade environment for extended durations.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous manual labor in offshore conditions.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication and emergency coordination.
