ACMV Switchboard Design 2D AutoCAD Drafter

We are currently expanding our engineering team and are looking for a dedicated ACMV Switchboard Design 2D AutoCAD Drafter to join us in our Kajang/Bangi/Serdang office.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for creating, revising, and managing detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for ACMV switchboards and control panels. You will work directly with our experienced engineers to ensure every design meets strict project specifications, industry standards (e.g., MS IEC), and safety regulations. Your precision and attention to detail will directly contribute to the flawless execution and installation of our electrical systems across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, update, and detail 2D AutoCAD drawings for ACMV switchboard panels, control circuits, and wiring schematics.
• Interpret project specifications, engineering sketches, and redline markups to produce accurate technical documentation.
• Collaborate with project engineers to ensure designs comply with local regulations and client requirements.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on all drawings to identify errors and ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain organized records of drawing revisions and project documentation.
• Assist in the creation of Bill of Materials (BOM) based on finalized drawings.
• Support the production team by providing clear and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Continuously improve drafting efficiency by developing and updating standard templates.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience in 2D drafting using AutoCAD (ACMV or switchboard experience is highly preferred).
• Strong understanding of ACMV systems, switchboard components (MCCB, ACB, Contactor, Relay), and electrical schematic diagrams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for documentation and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong emphasis on drawing accuracy and neatness.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of relevant Malaysian electrical standards and regulations is an added advantage.
