Drive AI Innovation at Singapore's Central Bank
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is establishing a dedicated AI Office to lead the strategic adoption and governance of artificial intelligence. We are seeking a highly motivated AI Portfolio and Technology Manager (Contract) to manage our AI project portfolio and technology roadmap.
In this critical role, you will identify, prioritize, and oversee AI initiatives that enhance MAS's capabilities in financial supervision, economic analysis, and central banking. You will collaborate with senior leadership and business units to ensure AI investments deliver value while adhering to strict ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize the AI project portfolio, ensuring alignment with MAS's strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain the AI technology roadmap, evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Establish and enforce AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards across the organization.
- Drive the full lifecycle of AI projects from ideation and POCs to deployment and scaling.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and define high-impact AI use cases.
- Manage vendor relationships and technology evaluations for AI platforms and solutions.
- Monitor portfolio performance, risks, and benefits, reporting to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years in technology management, with at least 5 years focused on AI, ML, or Data Analytics.
- Proven experience managing a technology portfolio in financial services or public sector.
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, MLOps, cloud AI services, and data architecture.
- Deep understanding of AI ethics, governance, and risk management frameworks (e.g., FEAT).
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, AWS/Azure AI) are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
