UL International-Singapore is seeking an innovative AI / Simulation Engineer to join our engineering team in the West Region. In this pivotal role, you will be at the intersection of high-fidelity Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and machine learning, driving the future of safety-critical testing and product compliance.
You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between digital simulation and physical reality, utilizing advanced computational tools to predict performance, optimize designs, and ensure that our solutions meet the highest global safety standards. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and execute high-fidelity FEA models to assess structural integrity and performance under diverse operational conditions.
- Integrate AI and machine learning algorithms into the simulation workflow to accelerate design iteration and predictive accuracy.
- Conduct correlation studies to validate simulation results against empirical physical testing data.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, compliance, and product teams to translate complex engineering insights into actionable design improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of simulation processes, methodology, and compliance reports.
- Identify opportunities to optimize simulation parameters, reducing computational costs while maintaining high fidelity.
- Stay at the forefront of industry developments in CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) and AI-augmented engineering simulation.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using industry-standard software (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus, or LS-DYNA).
- Proven proficiency in AI/ML application for engineering, with experience in Python, MATLAB, or similar programming environments for automation and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of material science, structural mechanics, and thermal dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to validate simulation models with physical test results.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Previous experience in a safety-critical, highly regulated, or testing/certification environment is highly preferred.
