We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Air Freight Operations Manager to join a leading logistics team based in Sepang, Selangor. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end air freight shipment process, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and seamless coordination between stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of air cargo handling, customs regulations, and international logistics standards. You will lead a high-performing team to manage complex shipment schedules, resolve logistical bottlenecks, and maintain strong relationships with airlines and ground handling agents. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee end-to-end air freight operations, ensuring all shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with international aviation safety regulations.
- Manage relationships with airlines, ground handling agents, and transport partners to secure capacity and optimize freight costs.
- Monitor shipment status, proactively addressing delays and providing real-time updates to stakeholders and clients.
- Prepare and review all necessary documentation, including Air Waybills (AWB), commercial invoices, and customs clearance paperwork.
- Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and professional development.
- Analyze operational performance data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Ensure strict adherence to local and international trade laws, customs regulations, and hazardous material handling protocols.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in air freight operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IATA regulations and air cargo industry standards.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex logistical issues and manage high-pressure, time-sensitive shipments.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
