We are looking for an ambitious Algorithm Engineer to take ownership of intelligent control algorithms and motion‑planning for our underwater propulsion platforms. In this role, you will work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to design, simulate, and implement algorithms that optimize performance, stability, and energy efficiency in challenging maritime environments.

Key responsibilities encompass the full development lifecycle—from concept and modeling in MATLAB/Simulink, to real‑time implementation on embedded hardware, and rigorous testing in both simulation and open‑water trials. You will leverage sensor fusion, state estimation, and advanced control theory to deliver robust solutions that meet stringent safety and reliability standards.

Tanggung Jawab

  • Design, develop, and implement advanced control algorithms for underwater propulsion systems, ensuring robustness across varying depths, pressures, and fluid dynamic conditions.
  • Create and optimize motion‑planning algorithms to enable autonomous navigation, path tracking, and mission execution for AUVs and diving robots.
  • Conduct simulation studies using MATLAB/Simulink and ROS/Gazebo to validate algorithm performance before hardware deployment.
  • Perform hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) testing and field trials, analyzing data to iteratively improve control strategies.
  • Integrate sensor data (IMU, sonar, depth sensors) for accurate state estimation and sensor fusion.
  • Document algorithm specifications, design rationale, and test results; contribute to technical reports and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define system requirements and ensure seamless software‑hardware integration.

Kualifikasi

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with control theory (PID, LQR, MPC) and motion‑planning algorithms (RRT, A*, Dijkstra) in robotics applications.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python; familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) is highly desirable.
  • Hands‑on experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Gazebo, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of sensor fusion, state estimation (Kalman filters, particle filters), and real‑time embedded systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
