ST Engineering is a global technology, defence and engineering group with a presence in over 23 countries. Our team in Ang Mo Kio focuses on satellite remote sensing and data analytics. We are seeking an Algorithm Engineer to join our Data Science / Cybersecurity / Geo-Insights division.
In this role, you will develop and implement algorithms to process raw data from satellite remote sensing into actionable intelligence. You will work on cutting-edge problems involving digital signal processing, data analysis, machine learning, and cyber security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and optimize algorithms, and contribute to the development of new capabilities and technologies for geo-spatial insights. Your work will directly impact the quality and accuracy of our derived information products.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of algorithm development from concept through deployment. You will work with large datasets, apply statistical analysis, and implement efficient processing pipelines. Working closely with domain experts in remote sensing, software engineers, and product managers, you will translate requirements into robust algorithms.

- Design, develop, and implement algorithms for processing raw satellite remote sensing data.
- Apply digital signal processing (DSP) techniques to enhance and analyse signal data.
- Develop machine learning and data science models to extract actionable insights from geo-spatial data.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate algorithms into production systems.
- Test, validate, and optimize algorithm performance for accuracy and efficiency.
- Document algorithm designs, methodologies, and results for knowledge sharing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research in remote sensing, DSP, and data science.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in algorithm development.
Kualifikasi
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- Strong background in algorithm development and data structures.
- Proficiency in digital signal processing (DSP) techniques.
- Experience with remote sensing data and satellite image processing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
