As an Application Engineer, you will serve as the technical backbone of our regional operations, bridging the gap between cutting-edge metrology technology and practical industrial applications. Your role is dual-faceted: you will support the sales team by demonstrating the high-precision capabilities of ZEISS systems to prospective clients (Pre-Sales) and ensure our existing customers achieve maximum ROI through expert training and technical troubleshooting (Post-Sales). We are looking for a precision-minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about solving complex quality control challenges for our partners in the semiconductor, automotive, and electronics industries.
This role is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys a mix of office-based technical work and on-site client engagement. At ZEISS, you will be empowered to work with the latest innovations in Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and optical systems, contributing directly to the quality standards of Malaysia's manufacturing sector.
Tanggung Jawab
- Deliver high-impact technical presentations and live product demonstrations to prospective clients in the Malaysia region.
- Conduct detailed feasibility studies and measurement services to validate technical solutions for specific customer applications.
- Provide comprehensive post-sales training to customers, ensuring proficiency in ZEISS metrology software and hardware.
- Collaborate closely with the sales department to provide technical insights for proposals and tender submissions.
- Develop and optimize customized measurement programs (e.g., using CALYPSO) to meet unique client quality requirements.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and competitor products to maintain ZEISS's market-leading position.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in industrial metrology, quality assurance, or application engineering (2-4 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with CMM programming and operation is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin is a plus to support local clientele.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently to customer sites across Malaysia.
