Are you an experienced engineering professional with a passion for public transport infrastructure? SBS Transit is looking for a dedicated Assistant Engineer, DTL Systems to join our Downtown Line (DTL) maintenance team. In this critical role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the seamless operation of our communications systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency for thousands of commuters daily.
As an Assistant Engineer, you will lead and mentor a team of Senior Technicians and Technicians, providing technical guidance and operational oversight during shifts. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, coordinating maintenance activities, and implementing system improvements to minimize downtime. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive problem-solver to contribute to one of Singapore’s most vital transportation networks.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Senior Technicians and Technicians to ensure daily maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
- Perform fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance on DTL Communications Systems to ensure high availability.
- Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance schedules according to safety and regulatory standards.
- Monitor system performance and generate technical reports to identify trends or potential failure points.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve complex technical issues during shift operations.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with organizational safety protocols and quality management frameworks.
- Provide on-the-job training and professional guidance to junior staff to enhance team technical competencies.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in system maintenance, preferably in a rail, transportation, or industrial environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage team performance and technical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in communications systems, including CCTV, PIS, radio systems, and fiber optics.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure, particularly during shift hours.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to commit to rotating shift work including weekends and public holidays.
