We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Assistant Engineer (Shiftwork) to join our Downtown Line (DTL) Signalling team based in Kranji.
In this critical role, you will support the Executive Engineer in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the DTL signalling system. You will lead a team of technical specialists in fault-finding, servicing, and ensuring the highest standards of operational reliability. This position requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic, 24/7 railway environment.
You will play a key part in driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining asset performance, and responding promptly to system anomalies to minimize service disruptions. As a subject matter expert in your area, you will conduct thorough investigations into failures, propose robust corrective actions, and ensure all documentation and maintenance records are meticulously updated.

Tanggung Jawab
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the signalling maintenance team to ensure optimal performance of the DTL system.
- Support the Executive Engineer in the planning and execution of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) tasks.
- Lead fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and rectification of signalling system issues to minimize service disruptions.
- Conduct night shift engineering works, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor spare parts inventory levels and manage procurement requests to support maintenance operations.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, incident investigation findings, and maintenance performance metrics.
- Mentor and guide technical staff to enhance their skills and ensure compliance with competency standards.
- Proactively support the testing and commissioning of new signalling assets or system upgrades.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in signalling systems, railway maintenance, or critical infrastructure engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to perform rotating shift duties, including overnight, weekend, and public holiday work.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A team player with a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Knowledge of CBTC, SCADA, VHLC systems, or similar railway control systems will be highly advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management systems.
