Expeditors International is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager for Security and EHS to join our team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. In this pivotal role, you will be the guardian of our workplace integrity and safety culture. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our physical security systems and ensuring that all environmental, health, and safety protocols align with both global Expeditors standards and local Malaysian regulations.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in mitigating risks, maintaining facility compliance, and fostering a secure environment for our staff and logistics operations. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical skills, a background in industrial safety, and the ability to manage complex security technologies effectively.
Tanggung Jawab
- Manage and maintain all physical security systems, including CCTV, intrusion alarms, and access control infrastructure.
- Oversee the EHS portal, ensuring all reporting, documentation, and compliance data are current and accurate.
- Conduct regular facility audits and risk assessments to identify potential security or safety hazards.
- Coordinate with local authorities and security vendors to ensure the perimeter and interior of the facility remain secure.
- Lead safety training sessions and drills to promote a strong EHS culture among all employees.
- Respond to and investigate security breaches, safety incidents, or near-misses, providing detailed reports and corrective action plans.
- Ensure full adherence to local environmental regulations and internal corporate safety policies.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Security Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar EHS or Security management role, preferably within a logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in operating and troubleshooting modern security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Alarm systems).
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu to engage effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and EHS management software tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing cross-functional projects.
