Mynews, a leading convenience store chain in Malaysia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager for Warehouse and Logistics to join our team in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. This critical role oversees daily warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring our service provider performs to agreed standards while driving team performance and operational excellence.
As the Assistant Manager, you will take full ownership of warehouse activities including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and dispatching. You will lead a dedicated team, implement best practices, monitor SLAs, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the supply chain. - Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage and motivate a team of supervisors and staff to achieve performance targets.
- Monitor service providers to ensure compliance with agreed standards and service level agreements.
- Implement and optimize inventory management processes to reduce discrepancies and shrinkage.
- Coordinate logistics activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to all retail outlets.
- Enforce health, safety, and security regulations within the warehouse environment.
- Analyze operational data and generate reports for management review and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in retail or FMCG.
- Proven leadership skills with experience guiding and developing teams.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Sound understanding of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
