The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is seeking a visionary academic to join our faculty as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Applied Quantum Computing. As Singapore's University of Applied Learning, SIT is at the forefront of translating academic research into real-world industrial solutions. We are looking for a scholar who is passionate about bridging the gap between theoretical quantum mechanics and practical, scalable quantum applications.
In this role, you will lead high-impact research initiatives, mentor the next generation of quantum engineers, and collaborate with key industry partners within the Punggol Digital District and beyond. You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive ecosystem designed to foster cross-disciplinary innovation in quantum algorithms, hardware integration, and cryptanalysis.
Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in Applied Quantum Computing.
- Lead competitive research programs focused on quantum algorithms, quantum communications, or quantum-classical hybrid systems.
- Secure external research funding from government agencies and private industry partners.
- Supervise PhD and Master's students in advanced research projects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across SIT to integrate quantum-ready technologies into engineering workflows.
- Engage with industry leaders to drive the adoption of quantum technologies in the local and global tech sectors.
- Contribute to the departmental administrative and faculty governance responsibilities.
Kualifikasi
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field with a focus on Quantum Information Science.
- Demonstrated record of excellence in research with publications in top-tier journals and conferences.
- Proven ability to design and implement complex quantum simulation models or experimental setups.
- Strong teaching credentials at the university level, with a focus on active learning methodologies.
- Experience in securing research grants and managing funded projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge academic research and industrial application.
