The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Technical Manager / Senior Executive, Business Technology Solutions to join our team in Singapore. In this dual role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business objectives and technology capabilities. You will lead and support key IT initiatives, manage vendor relationships, and drive the adoption of innovative solutions that enhance our operational efficiency and customer experience.

This role reports directly to the Head of Business Technology Solutions and offers a fantastic pathway for career growth within an esteemed global insurance group. You will be working on high-impact projects, from system enhancements to full-scale digital transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into comprehensive technical requirements and solution designs.
• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for business technology solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of critical business applications, including policy administration, claims, and distribution systems.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and support of technology platforms.
• Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing, and training sessions to ensure successful adoption of new technologies.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively recommend improvements to optimize business processes.
• Ensure all solutions adhere to IT governance frameworks, cybersecurity policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation within the business technology landscape.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business technology solutions, project management, or IT business analysis.
• Proven experience in the insurance or financial services industry is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with core insurance systems (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek), CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Professional certifications in Project Management (PMP/PRINCE2) or ITIL are highly desirable.
