Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Trader to join the ferrous metals trading team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the trading desk with analysis, data gathering, and trade coordination. You will monitor global market trends, prepare reports, and assist in price negotiations. - Assist senior traders in executing trades and managing orders for ferrous raw materials
- Conduct daily market research and analysis on supply, demand, and pricing trends
- Prepare trading reports, contracts, and documentation for transaction processing
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and shipment tracking
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and shipping partners
- Monitor market news and commodity price movements to identify trading opportunities
- Support risk management processes by monitoring positions and settlements
- Participate in trade negotiations and assist in drafting agreements
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in trading, commodities, or related roles (fresh graduates welcome to apply)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with trading platforms is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced trading environment
- Passion for commodities and financial markets
- Team player with a proactive and eager-to-learn attitude
