We are actively seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented professional to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Warehouse Manager / Warehouse Manager at our strategically located, state-of-the-art facility in Perai, Penang. This is a pivotal senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director, tasked with driving holistic operational excellence. You will cultivate a high-performing team and ensure the flawless execution of complex warehouse activities, ultimately safeguarding the supply chain integrity of prestigious global clients.
In this critical capacity, you will take full ownership of directing all facets of the warehouse ecosystem, from inbound receiving and put-away to outbound picking, packing, and shipping for a high-volume, multi-client environment. Key strategic accountabilities include designing and implementing process improvements, driving best-in-class inventory accuracy through sophisticated cycle counting and root cause analysis, and leveraging cutting-edge Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation to maximize productivity and throughput. Your leadership will be instrumental in mentoring shift supervisors and team leads, championing a proactive culture of Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement, and rigidly upholding the highest standards of workplace safety, health, and environmental compliance. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping to ensure optimal efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of supervisors, team leaders, and operations staff, fostering a culture of high performance, safety, and accountability.
- Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma) to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Manage inventory accuracy through robust cycle counting programs, physical inventory audits, and systematic root cause analysis of variances.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and local regulatory requirements, specifically Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Transportation, Customer Service, and Planning to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain execution.
- Analyze operational KPIs and productivity metrics, preparing comprehensive reports and actionable recommendations for senior management.
- Oversee the effective utilization and optimization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other operational technologies.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven track record in managing high-volume, multi-client warehouse operations, ideally within a 3PL, FMCG, manufacturing, or retail environment.
- Strong technical proficiency in WMS (e.g., SAP EWM, Oracle WMS, Blue Yonder, Manhattan Associates) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to warehousing and logistics.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and/or Mandarin is an advantage.
