Join MSD (Merck & Co.) as a visionary Associate Director of Engineering/Chemistry and lead our technical operations in Singapore. We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee a high-performing team of engineers and scientists, driving the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes and ensuring operational excellence.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the technical strategy and execution of our engineering projects. Your expertise in chemical engineering will be critical in optimizing production lines, managing complex capital projects, and ensuring strict adherence to global regulatory standards. You will foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency, collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver life-changing medicines to the world.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers and scientists to achieve operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and yield.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of chemical engineering systems and facilities.
- Ensure full compliance with global regulatory standards (GMP, FDA, EMA) and internal quality protocols.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams on technical integration.
- Manage capital projects, including budgeting, timeline adherence, and resource allocation.

Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong technical expertise in process engineering, unit operations, and manufacturing equipment.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale engineering projects.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory affairs, GMP compliance, and quality management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
