Job Overview: Hong Seng Assembly is seeking an experienced and reliable Mechanic to join our team in Butterworth, Penang. Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive vehicle servicing including oil changes, brake inspections, and filter replacements.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical system faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct thorough safety inspections and ensure all vehicles meet legal and company standards.
- Replace defective parts such as belts, hoses, batteries, and brakes with precision.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for each vehicle.
- Assist in maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring a clean, organized workspace.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and service advisors to complete jobs efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a mechanic or relevant certification (e.g., Diploma in Automotive Engineering).
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical components.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Ability to follow technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity for lifting and handling parts.
- Valid driver's license (Class D or equivalent) is required.
- Willingness to work full-time and occasional overtime if needed.
