Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is seeking a visionary AVP/Vice President, Data Governance/Data Management to lead our information management initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework that ensures data quality, compliance, and regulatory adherence across the organization.
Your primary focus will be on defining data standards, managing data lineage, and enforcing governance policies to maximize the value of our data assets. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and secure, while driving best practices in data usage and risk management.

Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and implement comprehensive data governance strategies and frameworks aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee data quality initiatives to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of critical data assets.
- Manage and maintain detailed data lineage documentation to track data flow and transformations.
- Ensure strict adherence to data compliance policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., AML, KYC, IFRS).
- Lead cross-functional teams in the adoption of data management best practices and standards.
- Define and enforce data policies, standards, and procedures for secure data usage.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments related to data governance and data privacy.
Kualifikasi
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data governance, data management, or information architecture within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of data quality principles, data lineage, and metadata management.
- Proven experience in managing regulatory compliance and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or data modeling tools is highly desirable.
