GIC is one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds. We are seeking a visionary and highly skilled AVP/VP, AI Engineer to join our Technology Group in Singapore. This is a pivotal role on our core platform team where you will act as the technical anchor for our most complex AI initiatives.
You will lead the charge in designing and scaling our agentic AI infrastructure. Your expertise will be critical in defining how intelligent agents operate within our secure, high-performance environment. You will tackle deep technical challenges, from optimizing LLM inference and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to building robust orchestration frameworks that ensure reliability and governance.
Partnering closely with data scientists, quants, and investment teams, you will translate cutting-edge research into production AI systems that deliver real investment impact. As a senior member of the team, you will influence the technology strategy and champion engineering excellence, contributing directly to the future of AI at GIC.

Tanggung Jawab
- Architect and build the core agentic AI platform that powers intelligent workflows across the firm.
- Design and implement robust orchestration frameworks for multi-agent systems, ensuring reliability and governance.
- Lead the evaluation and integration of frontier LLMs and AI models into the production environment.
- Develop advanced RAG pipelines and retrieval systems for large-scale, high-performance knowledge access.
- Optimize model serving infrastructure for latency, cost, and throughput.
- Establish best practices for AI safety, observability, and monitoring within the platform.
- Collaborate with quants and investment professionals to prototype and deploy AI solutions for complex financial problems.
- Mentor engineers and drive the technical roadmap for AI engineering within the Technology Group.
Kualifikasi
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 8+ years of industry experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years focused on AI/ML engineering.
- Deep expertise in Python, Go, or Rust, with a strong grasp of system design and distributed computing.
- Proven experience architecting and deploying large-scale agentic AI systems or complex LLM applications (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, custom frameworks).
- Strong background in MLOps, ML infrastructure, model serving (e.g., vLLM, TensorRT), and data pipelines.
- Extensive knowledge of NLP, deep learning, and modern AI architectures (Transformers, Diffusion models).
- Experience operating in a highly regulated environment with strong security and compliance requirements (finance is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical strategy across diverse stakeholder groups.
