Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Group is seeking a highly experienced AVP/VP, Principal System Analyst to join our team in Singapore. As part of the Japan Research Institute (JRI) division, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between complex business requirements and robust technical solutions. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker who is passionate about financial technology, system architecture, and delivering high-impact projects within a global banking environment.
In this leadership-oriented role, you will lead end-to-end system analysis, oversee technical feasibility studies, and act as a primary liaison between regional stakeholders and our engineering teams. You will be responsible for ensuring our systems remain scalable, secure, and compliant with international banking standards while driving digital transformation initiatives that support our long-term growth.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering to system deployment and maintenance.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on existing banking systems to identify bottlenecks and propose architectural enhancements.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to translate complex business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party technical deliverables to ensure alignment with SMBC standards.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and developers within the IT team.
- Manage project roadmaps, ensuring key milestones are met within budget and on schedule.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with data privacy laws, cybersecurity policies, and regulatory requirements in the banking sector.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in system analysis or solutions architecture within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven expertise in enterprise-level system integration and API-led connectivity.
- Strong understanding of core banking systems, digital payment platforms, or trade finance applications.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment; certification (e.g., PMP, CSM, CBAP) is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and modern database structures (SQL, NoSQL).
