The Applied Machine Learning (AML) team at ByteDance is on the lookout for a talented Backend Engineer to join our Machine Learning Platform division. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our cutting-edge AI models. You'll work on scalable systems that handle massive data throughput, ensuring that our recommendation engines and content delivery systems operate at peak efficiency. Tanggung Jawab
- Design and implement high-performance distributed systems for ML training and inference.
- Optimize existing ML pipelines to improve throughput and reduce latency.
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand infrastructure requirements.
- Build tools and frameworks to automate ML model deployment and monitoring.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security for sensitive AI workloads.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions within the engineering team.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues related to large-scale data processing.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Go.
- Deep experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and containerization (Kubernetes/Docker).
- Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and SQL databases.
- Track record of shipping high-quality, production-grade software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
