Are you ready to shape the future of experimentation at a global scale? ByteDance is seeking a talented and passionate Backend Software Engineer Intern to join the Libra Platform team for our 2026 intake. Libra is our flagship, large-scale A/B testing engine that serves as the backbone for data-driven decision-making across all our products, including TikTok and CapCut.
As an intern within the Data Platform division, you will work alongside world-class engineers to build high-concurrency systems, optimize low-latency pipelines, and refine the architecture that supports millions of requests daily. You will be exposed to massive-scale data challenges, distributed systems, and cutting-edge technologies. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and contribute to features that impact billions of users worldwide.
Tanggung Jawab
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services for the Libra A/B testing platform.
- Optimize system performance and reliability to handle high-concurrency traffic requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate experimentation features into ByteDance's product ecosystem.
- Develop and refine data processing pipelines for real-time experiment analytics.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical grooming sessions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement scalable engineering solutions.
- Contribute to the automation of testing frameworks to ensure high code quality.
Kualifikasi
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language: Go, Java, Python, or C++.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and large-scale web architecture.
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, or distributed storage systems).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for data engineering and interest in large-scale experimentation platforms.
