Are you a detail-oriented professional looking to make an impact in the insurance sector? Capco is seeking a skilled Backend Tester (Insurance) to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and high performance of backend systems that support critical life insurance products and operations.
As part of a leading global management and technology consultancy, you will work in a dynamic Agile environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teamsâincluding developers, business analysts, and product managersâto validate requirements, identify defects, and drive continuous improvement in our delivery lifecycle. Your expertise will ensure that our clients receive robust, reliable, and compliant software solutions.
Tanggung Jawab
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for backend systems and APIs.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure system stability and scalability.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios and test data.
- Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools, providing clear reproduction steps.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues, understand root causes, and ensure timely fixes.
- Validate data integrity and accuracy within complex insurance databases and systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Backend Testing or Quality Assurance (QA).
- Strong knowledge of the Insurance domain (specifically Life Insurance) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation, complex queries, and database testing.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI) and web services.
- Experience with backend technologies such as Java, .NET, or Python is a significant advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
