We are seeking a skilled BI Ops & Maintenance Engineer to join the dynamic team at Smartdeer Services Centre. In this critical role, you will act as the guardian of our Business Intelligence infrastructure, ensuring that data pipelines run smoothly and reporting systems remain available for daily business operations. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and communication skills, specifically the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders in both English and Chinese.
As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end maintenance of our BI ecosystem. This includes monitoring system health, troubleshooting complex data issues, and implementing robust maintenance schedules to prevent downtime. You will collaborate closely with data engineers and business analysts to optimize workflows and improve data quality. Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor BI system performance, uptime, and availability to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline errors, ETL issues, and reporting failures.
- Perform routine system maintenance, backups, and security updates.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and optimize data workflows.
- Communicate technical status updates and issue resolutions to stakeholders in English and Chinese.
- Document operational procedures, runbooks, and technical specifications.
- Conduct data quality checks and validation to ensure the accuracy of reports.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements in existing systems.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in BI operations, maintenance, or data engineering.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, or similar).
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) for effective communication.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
