GAMA Foods, a premier name in the Philippine poultry industry and one of the top 3 Poultry Integrators in the country, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Boiler Operator to join our manufacturing team in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental.
As a key member of our production operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient supply of steam required for our processing plants. We are looking for an individual who is highly technical, detail-oriented, and committed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe start-up, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of boilers and auxiliary equipment. You will manage fuel, water, and air systems, perform water chemical testing, and log operational data. You will also conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure strict compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Tanggung Jawab
- Operate, monitor, and maintain high-pressure boilers, steam generators, and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct regular inspections of boiler systems, control panels, gauges, and safety valves to comply with Philippine regulatory standards.
- Perform routine water testing and chemical treatment of boiler water to prevent scaling and corrosion.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, mechanical failures, or plant inefficiencies promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate logs of operations, fuel consumption, equipment readings, and all maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for scheduled preventive maintenance programs and emergency repairs.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies regarding PPE and lockout/tagout.
- Monitor steam demand and adjust fuel supply, air supply, and water levels accordingly to match production needs.
Kualifikasi
- High School Diploma, Vocational Graduate, or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Valid Boiler Operator License / Certificate (Plant Mechanic or TESDA certification in relevant field strongly preferred).
- With at least 2-3 years of proven experience as a Boiler Operator in a manufacturing or industrial setting (poultry, food processing, or related industry is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of steam systems, boiler controls, combustion theory, and safety devices such as relief valves.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, P&IDs, and operational manuals.
- Physically capable of working in a hot, humid, and noisy industrial environment and performing tasks that require standing, walking, and climbing.
- Willing to work in shifting schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a safety-first mindset.
