Scanmar Maritime Services is a premier provider of maritime manpower solutions, dedicated to delivering excellence in vessel operations. We are currently seeking a highly experienced and reliable Bosun to join our dynamic team. Our diverse fleet includes various types of vessels such as bulk carriers, container ships, general cargo vessels, passenger liners, reefer ships, ro-ro vessels, chemical tankers, product tankers, and oil tankers.
As the Bosun, you will serve as the senior deck rating, playing a pivotal role in the maintenance and safety of the vessel. We are looking for a candidate who is not only technically proficient but also possesses strong leadership qualities to supervise the deck crew effectively. Tanggung Jawab
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities and duties of the deck crew.
- Perform routine maintenance, painting, and cleaning of the vessel's exterior and superstructure.
- Conduct safety inspections and emergency drills to ensure compliance with maritime regulations.
- Handle rope work, rigging operations, and the deployment of anchors and mooring lines.
- Inspect equipment and machinery on the deck to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and order in the living and working areas.
- Assist the Chief Officer in the loading and unloading of cargo operations when required.
Kualifikasi
- Valid Philippine Seaman's Book (OICNW or equivalent) with appropriate ratings.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Bosun, preferably on bulk carriers or similar vessel types.
- Physically fit and medically certified as per company standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate the deck team.
- Familiarity with safety procedures, PPE usage, and emergency response protocols.
- Basic knowledge of vessel machinery and deck equipment operations.
- Willingness to work long hours and travel to various international destinations.
