The Municipal Government of Balabagan, Lanao Del Sur, is actively seeking a highly competent and dedicated Building Inspector to join the Municipal Engineering Office. This is a regular full-time, career service position based in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
As a Building Inspector, you will serve as the front-line defender of building safety and code compliance in our municipality. Your expertise will ensure that every structure erected within Balabagan meets the stringent requirements of the National Building Code of the Philippines (PD 1096), the Fire Code of the Philippines (RA 9514), and local zoning ordinances. You will conduct on-site field inspections, meticulously review construction plans and technical specifications, and issue essential permits such as building permits and certificates of occupancy. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, resilience, and orderly growth of our community.

Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct thorough field inspections of building construction, renovation, and demolition projects to ensure strict compliance with the National Building Code and local ordinances.
- Review and evaluate building plans, specifications, and permit applications for structural integrity, safety standards, and zoning regulations.
- Issue notices of violation, cease and desist orders, and certificates of occupancy based on inspection findings.
- Maintain detailed and accurate inspection reports, records, logs, and updates in the municipal database.
- Provide expert technical guidance and assistance to homeowners, contractors, and developers on building regulations and best practices.
- Coordinate closely with the Municipal Engineer, Planning and Development Office, and other LGU departments on infrastructure projects.
- Conduct mandatory inspections for business permits, occupancy permits, and renewal of existing buildings.
- Participate in the review and updating of local zoning ordinances and land use plans.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture from a recognized educational institution.
- Must be a licensed Civil Engineer (RA 9266) or Architect (RA 544).
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience in building inspection, construction project management, or related technical supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Building Code (PD 1096), Fire Code (RA 9514), and Environmental Compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Filipino and English.
- Must be willing to be assigned in the Municipality of Balabagan, Lanao del Sur.
- No pending administrative or criminal case. Must be of good moral character.
