We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Buyer to join our team at a reputable company in Johor. As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain and procurement operations, ensuring that all materials and products are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively to support our manufacturing activities.
Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. You will work closely with the production planning team to align purchasing activities with customer orders and production schedules, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with specific experience in manufacturing or logistics. You should possess excellent negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. A degree in business, supply chain, or a related field is preferred, along with proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.

- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to achieve optimal value.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock.
- Coordinate with production and planning teams to align purchasing with demand.
- Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or buying, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory management.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
