We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Calibration Technician / Application Engineer to join our growing team in Penang, Malaysia. In this dual role, you will be responsible for the precision calibration of sophisticated optical and electronic test equipment, while also providing critical application engineering support to our internal teams and external customers.

Tanggung Jawab
- Perform precise calibration and alignment of laser systems, optical test benches, and electronic measurement instruments according to established procedures and standards.
- Support application engineering activities, including customer demonstrations, field trials, and technical troubleshooting of advanced photonics systems.
- Analyze test data, generate detailed calibration and performance reports, and maintain accurate records in compliance with ISO 17025 and quality management systems.
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to validate new product specifications and optimize existing calibration processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to equipment calibration and application performance, providing timely solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and manage calibration standards, tools, and spare parts inventory to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending updates to calibration methodologies and application best practices.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the laboratory and manufacturing environment.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Relevant technical diploma with extensive experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience in calibration, metrology, or application engineering within the optics, lasers, or semiconductor industries.
- Strong proficiency in using calibration standards, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and other precision measurement tools.
- Solid understanding of laser physics, optical principles, and electro-mechanical systems.
- Proven ability to interpret technical schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for documentation and data analysis.
- Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written); additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Experience with ISO 9001 / ISO 17025 quality standards is highly desirable.
