Are you passionate about climate action and environmental sustainability? We are seeking a dedicated Carbon Specialist to join our team in Jakarta. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our decarbonization efforts, helping to measure, analyze, and reduce our corporate carbon footprint while ensuring compliance with evolving international and local environmental standards.
You will play a pivotal role in our transition to a greener future by developing carbon accounting frameworks, managing offset portfolios, and engaging with stakeholders to drive sustainable business practices. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in environmental science or sustainability with a strategic mindset to transform complex data into actionable environmental impact strategies.
Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and maintain accurate greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories in accordance with the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064 standards.
- Lead life cycle assessment (LCA) projects to identify carbon-intensive processes and suggest optimization opportunities.
- Monitor and report on carbon emissions performance against predefined corporate sustainability KPIs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate low-carbon strategies into operational planning.
- Stay updated on local and international carbon market regulations, including carbon taxes and ETS developments in Indonesia.
- Manage relationships with external verifiers, carbon consultants, and environmental certification bodies.
- Prepare comprehensive sustainability reports for executive leadership and external stakeholders.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in carbon accounting, climate change advisory, or environmental auditing.
- Deep understanding of GHG Protocol, CDP reporting, and Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) frameworks.
- Proven experience in data management and analytical tools for environmental monitoring.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead sustainability initiatives from conception to implementation.
- Excellent proficiency in both English and Indonesian, with the ability to draft professional technical reports.
- Relevant certifications in environmental auditing or carbon management are highly desirable.
