We are looking for a strategic thinker to join our team as a Category Manager for Data Center Construction. In this pivotal role, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives designed to shape category excellence and deliver maximum value to Google. As a leader in the manufacturing and transport sector, you will manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for critical data center infrastructure projects. Your expertise will help optimize costs, mitigate risks, and foster strong relationships with global suppliers. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure that construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a unique opportunity to influence Google's physical footprint in Malaysia while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to shape category excellence and deliver maximum value to Google.
- Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for data center construction and facility management.
- Manage complex supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive supplier performance improvements.
- Analyze market trends and data to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and Google's procurement policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations, to align procurement with project goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes and inventory management.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain within the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex contracts with global vendors.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Melayu; ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of logistics, supply chain dynamics, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, global technology environment is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.
