Eppendorf is a leading global provider of laboratory equipment and solutions for the life sciences industry. We are currently seeking a talented Category Manager Plastics (APAC) to join our dynamic procurement team based in Selangor, Malaysia.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies for plastics across the Asia Pacific region. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Operations to ensure optimal supplier selection, competitive pricing, and consistent material quality.

Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for plastics materials across the APAC region
- Manage end-to-end supplier relationships including qualification, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement
- Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve cost optimization targets
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define material specifications and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Drive innovation initiatives with suppliers to support product development and sustainability goals
- Monitor supply market trends and develop contingency plans for supply disruptions
- Prepare and present category reports, savings analysis, and strategic recommendations to leadership
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in category management or strategic sourcing, preferably within the plastics industry
- Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and measurable business results
- Strong understanding of plastics manufacturing processes, materials, and applications
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling
- Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience working in a matrix organization with cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English; proficiency in regional languages is advantageous
