Renesas Electronics, a global leader in semiconductor solutions, is seeking an experienced CEFIB and TEM Engineer to join our Global Quality Assurance Lab (QAL) team in Bay, Laguna, Philippines. In this critical hands-on role, you will be at the forefront of failure analysis and material characterization. You will leverage your expertise in Combined Electron and Focused Ion Beam (CEFIB/FIB) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) systems to perform advanced physical analysis on cutting-edge semiconductor devices. Your work will directly impact product yield, performance, and time-to-market.
You will collaborate closely with design, process, and quality engineering teams to identify root causes of failures and drive continuous improvement. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform advanced physical failure analysis and material characterization on semiconductor devices using CEFIB/FIB (DualBeam) and TEM systems.
- Conduct precise TEM sample preparation utilizing in-situ lift-out and advanced milling techniques.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex analytical equipment to ensure maximum performance and uptime.
- Identify and analyze structural defects, contamination, and process anomalies at the nanometer scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to determine root causes of failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Document and present detailed technical findings and reports to internal stakeholders and global teams.
- Develop and optimize new sample preparation and analysis methodologies to improve efficiency and resolution.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience operating FIB/SEM systems (CEFIB, DualBeam, or similar) in a semiconductor or materials lab environment.
- Proven expertise in TEM sample preparation (in-situ lift-out) and high-resolution imaging/diffraction analysis.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, fabrication processes, and failure mechanisms.
- Experience with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD), or Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global team environment.
- Experience in quality assurance or reliability labs is a plus.
