Our Perak facility serves as a hub of innovation and productivity, and we are currently seeking a dedicated Chargeman AO (Electrical Facilities) to join our expert engineering team. The Role
As our Chargeman AO, you will be the primary technical authority for all electrical installations within our facility. Your mission is to power our operations by ensuring that every electrical system—from the main switchboard to individual machinery—is operating at peak efficiency and remains in full compliance with Malaysian regulatory standards. You will be responsible for preventing costly downtime through proactive maintenance and rapid response troubleshooting. Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance of all electrical installations, switchboards, and distribution boards to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure all electrical works and facility operations comply with the Electricity Supply Act and Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) regulations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults promptly to minimize production downtime and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Supervise external contractors and vendors during electrical installations, upgrades, or major repair works to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date electrical logs, maintenance records, and equipment health reports for auditing purposes.
- Monitor power consumption and identify opportunities for energy-saving initiatives and load optimization within the facility.
- Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols for all electrical activities to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Support the engineering team in the planning and execution of facility expansion or machinery relocation projects.
Kualifikasi
- Possess a valid Chargeman AO Certificate issued by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) of Malaysia.
- At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and facilities management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of low voltage (LV) electrical systems, wiring, and industrial motor controls.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex electrical circuit diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Solid understanding of Malaysian electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently under pressure during emergency breakdowns.
- Willingness to work on shifts or be available on-call for critical facility requirements if necessary.
- Good communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
