At ADM Global Ocean Freight (GOF), chartering is a commercial, valueâcreating function at the heart of our global trading platform. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chartering Manager to lead our operations and drive value across our international supply chain.
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our ocean freight chartering activities. You will act as a key liaison between ADMâs trading desk and the shipping market, negotiating contracts that secure capacity while optimizing costs. You will monitor global market trends to provide strategic insights, manage relationships with shipbrokers and vessel owners, and ensure that our logistics network remains resilient against market fluctuations. By aligning commercial goals with operational execution, you will play a critical role in maintaining ADM's competitive edge in the global commodities market.
Tanggung Jawab
- Negotiate and structure time charters and spot market charters with vessel owners and brokers.
- Monitor global freight markets and shipping trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage vessel scheduling to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including logistics and trading teams, to align chartering strategies with business objectives.
- Ensure strict compliance with charter party terms, Incoterms, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners and shipping agents.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelorâs degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in ocean freight chartering, shipping logistics, or related commercial roles.
- Strong working knowledge of shipping terms, Incoterms, and charter party clauses.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and chartering management software.
- Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
