We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chartering Manager to join our team in Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the procurement and management of vessel space, acting as the bridge between our clients and the global shipping market. You will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, negotiating favorable charter party agreements, and ensuring the seamless delivery of cargo. Tanggung Jawab
- Negotiate and structure time charters and voyage charters with shipowners and brokers to secure the best market rates.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including shippers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents.
- Analyze freight market trends, shipping rates, and vessel availability to optimize chartering strategies.
- Coordinate closely with the operations team to ensure timely vessel loading and delivery, minimizing downtime.
- Prepare, review, and manage charter party agreements and related shipping documentation.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the companyâs presence in key trade lanes.
- Monitor shipping performance metrics and resolve any operational discrepancies or disputes efficiently.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelorâs degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in ocean freight chartering or shipping brokerage.
- Strong working knowledge of Incoterms, charter party clauses, and international shipping regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and chartering management software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Valid driverâs license (preferred).
