We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Engineer to oversee the engineering and maintenance operations of our prestigious establishment in Kuching, Sarawak. As the Chief Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all hotel facilities, HVAC systems, electrical infrastructures, and plumbing networks operate at peak performance. Your leadership will directly impact guest satisfaction by maintaining a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for all visitors and staff.
You will be responsible for managing a dedicated engineering team, developing comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules, and driving cost-saving initiatives through effective energy management programs. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and manage the engineering department, including planning, organizing, and directing all maintenance activities.
- Ensure full compliance with local safety regulations, health standards, and environmental laws.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Manage the annual engineering budget, including procurement, energy management, and cost control.
- Supervise the maintenance of critical systems such as HVAC, electrical, fire safety, and water treatment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and manage emergency response procedures.
- Liaise with other department heads to ensure engineering support meets operational needs.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Hospitality Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience of at least 5-8 years in a similar Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer role within the hospitality sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse technical team.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel systems, building automation, and energy management systems.
- Valid Certificates of Competency (if applicable) and a strong understanding of safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and crisis management skills.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in local languages.
