Are you a seasoned technical leader with a passion for hospitality excellence? Mercure Jakarta is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to join our prestigious team. As the Chief Engineer, you will be the backbone of our hotel’s operational integrity, ensuring that our facilities meet the highest international standards of safety, comfort, and luxury.
You will lead our engineering and maintenance department, overseeing complex building systems, energy management, and preventative maintenance programs. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who excels at managing teams, optimizing operational costs, and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the daily maintenance and operation of all hotel facilities, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Manage, train, and mentor a diverse engineering team to ensure high performance and compliance with company policies.
- Implement and manage a robust preventative maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.
- Monitor and analyze energy consumption, identifying opportunities for sustainability improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with all local health, safety, and fire regulations, maintaining documentation for regular inspections.
- Collaborate with other department heads, including Housekeeping and Food & Beverage, to support hotel operational needs.
- Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and major capital projects.
- Prepare and manage the annual engineering budget, including CAPEX and OPEX planning.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in hotel engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building automation systems, fire safety protocols, and waste management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with fluency in English and Indonesian.
- Technical certifications related to hospitality facility management are highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and drive energy efficiency improvements.
