Join the prestigious Amandari resort in Ubud, Bali as our Chief Engineer. This pivotal leadership role will oversee all engineering and maintenance operations for our luxury property, ensuring seamless functionality of resort facilities while maintaining the highest standards of guest experience. You'll lead a dedicated team of technicians, manage preventive maintenance programs, and coordinate cross-departmental projects to preserve the resort's architectural integrity and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hospitality engineering expertise, strong leadership acumen, and a commitment to sustainable practices in one of Bali's most iconic destinations.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and develop the resort's engineering team through training, scheduling, and performance management
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for all facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building structures
- Coordinate with departments including Housekeeping, F&B, and Front Office to address maintenance requests promptly
- Manage engineering department budget, procurement processes, and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and sustainability initiatives
- Implement energy-efficient solutions and maintenance protocols to optimize operational costs
- Respond to emergency situations and critical maintenance issues with decisive action
- Develop long-term facility improvement plans and capital project proposals
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 5 years in luxury hospitality engineering with 2+ years in supervisory role
- Proven expertise in maintaining high-end resort facilities and systems
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team development and conflict resolution
- Advanced knowledge of building automation systems, CMMS software, and maintenance protocols
- Valid certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or facility management preferred
- Fluency in English with strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience working in remote locations with limited resources is advantageous
