Join Diamond H Marine Svcs. & Shipping Agency Inc., a leading maritime shipping agency, as our Chief Engineer / Single Engineer. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee engine room operations aboard our Bulk Carrier and General Cargo vessels engaged in coast trade routes.
In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for the efficient management and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems aboard the vessel, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards while optimizing operational performance.
Tanggung Jawab
- Manage and supervise all engine room operations and maintenance activities aboard the vessel
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of main propulsion engines, auxiliary machinery, and deck machinery
- Ensure compliance with MARPOL, SOLAS, and other international maritime regulations and standards
- Prepare and maintain engine room logs, maintenance records, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with the Captain and bridge team for vessel operations and emergency responses
- Manage engine room crew, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
- Optimize fuel consumption and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Conduct inspections and troubleshooting for mechanical and electrical systems
Kualifikasi
- Valid Chief Engineer Officer (CEO) or Single Engineer Certificate of Competency (STCW III/2 or equivalent)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer on Bulk Carriers or General Cargo vessels
- Comprehensive knowledge of marine engineering systems, diesel engines, and propulsion machinery
- Familiarity with international maritime conventions, ISM Code, and safety protocols
- Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to manage diverse crew
- Proficiency in engine room resource management and emergency procedures
- Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging maritime environments
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and inventory management for spare parts
