Tanggung Jawab
- Supervise and coordinate all deck operations, including navigation, cargo handling, and maintenance activities
- Assist the Captain in voyage planning, route optimization, and ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations
- Manage and train deck crew, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures
- Monitor vessel stability, seaworthiness, and cargo conditions throughout the voyage
- Oversee the loading, stowage, and unloading of bulk cargo with attention to safety and efficiency
- Maintain accurate navigational records, logs, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with port authorities, cargo surveyors, and other stakeholders during port operations
- Implement and enforce environmental protection measures and pollution prevention protocols
Kualifikasi
- Certified Chief Mate (Unlimited) or equivalent qualification from a recognized maritime institution
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as Chief Mate or 2nd Mate on bulk carriers or similar vessel types
- Valid STCW certification and all required endorsements for the position
- Strong knowledge of IMO regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other relevant maritime conventions
- Proven experience in cargo operations specific to bulk carriers, including loading, stowage, and discharge procedures
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to challenging conditions at sea
- Physical fitness and ability to perform duties in all weather conditions
